The iPad 3’s Retina Display is a massive improvement and it’s definitely better than his older brother’s one. No doubt that your photos, videos and games will be brighter, sharper and as Apple says, more lifelike.
The design hasn’t changed much and it looks very similar to his previous version. However, if you hold it in your hand you can feel the difference as it’s slightly thicker and about 60g heavier than his brother iPad 2.
Apple has played a lot with the camera here and it’s fair to say that moving from 0.7 – megapixel to 5-megapixel is a huge and impressive jump. You are definitely ‘good to go’ and can take quick and good quality photos, shoot HD videos or make Skype HD FaceTime calls using the front camera.
4G speed would be great advantage however this network still isn’t available in the UK, and, even if it’s launched, UK owners would not be able to use this network. The simple reason is that the American 4G LTE version runs on the 700 – 2100MHz spectrum, while the UK’s 4G LTE network would operate on the 800 – 2600MHz.
iPad 3 has a dual-core A5X processor which adds more power to graphics so you can enjoy better visual quality when playing games. It’s also worth mentioning that battery life remains the same and you will get up to 10 hours of power.
It’s fair to say that the new iPad is a great upgrade and has a lot to offer however if you are an owner of the older version you are not missing a lot and it might be worth waiting for the next version.
