Changing the ITC AntiVirus engine
We are constantly testing and looking for ways to improve our services for you.
For this reason, we are updating the AntiVirus engine in our in our managed ITC Support Agent and AntiVirus Software.
In a real-world protection test, in February our new AntiVirus engine blocked 100% of threats with 0 false positive results. To give you a better idea of what this means, the 21 other AntiViruses tested only prevented 97.8% of threats with an average of 6.14 false positives.
Be aware that you may see your Windows Security Centre pop up with an antivirus error from the system tray (in the bottom right corner of your screen). You will not be unprotected at any point and this error will resolve when the PC is rebooted. You shouldn’t notice any other changes to your system or any interruptions to your work and the change will be done remotely by our technicians.
