How to set up email on your phone or tablet
Checking your emails is probably the best and most convenient way to stay in touch with your friends, colleagues and, most importantly, with your business. You can either login to your mailbox from your phone or any computer with the Internet connection.
If you haven’t set up email on your phone yet, you can do so by following these simple steps.
However, before you start let’s clarify two main things you will need to understand when setting up your email on the phone, tablet or iPod.
- Your full email address has this format: yourname@yourdomain (e.g. info@joeblock.com)
- Your domain includes all words after @ (in our case joeblock.com)
Email setup on the phone or tablet
In your phone/tablet menu: look for email/mail setting and fill in all the details required.
Here are the details you will need to enter:
- Your password
- Email address/username: your full email address: yourname@yourdomain (e.g. info@joeblock.com)
- Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.customerdomain.co.uk (In our case mail.joeblock.com)
- Outgoing Server (SMTP): mail.customerdomain.co.uk
- The option “My outgoing mail server requires authentication” need to be enabled
- For “Use SSL” option select NO
The setup should take you couple of minutes, however, if you having problems with the setup you can give as a quick call on 023 8024 9820 and one of our IT technicians will guide you through the steps.
